Nassau Day & Nassau lecture 2025

Again this year, Breda city centre will be overflowing with activities on the traditional Nassau Day Breda in all its glory. Of course, you can visit Breda's premier Nassau monument on this day for free guided tours by guides from Gilde de Baronie or free tower climbs by guides from the Bellringers Guild Breda.
- Guided tours are free and start at 11:30 / 13:00 / 14:30 / 16:00. They are provided by Guides from Gilde de Baronie.
- Tower climbs are free at 11:00 / 12:00 / 13:00 / 14:00 / 15:00 / 16:00. A total of 120 tickets are available. These can only be collected free of charge on the day itself from 10:30 at the Klokkenluiders Gilde at the foot of the Tower. Due to the high demand for tickets, a maximum of four tickets per person has been set. Be quick because gone = gone. For safety reasons, tower climbs are only accessible to persons aged 12 and over and in good physical condition.
- Nassau lecture, Luc Panhuysen author of various historical books. Gives a lecture on Stadholder-King William III of Orange-Nassau at 7:30 PM.

- Entrance fee is € 10.00 Payment at the door upon entry (cash or by pin).
- Members of Breda and the surrounding area free; other heritage associations, Friends of the Grote Kerk and Stedelijk Museum Breda, students of Historisch Breda € 8.00.
- Time 7:30 PM (church open from 7:00 PM) - The solo presentation TRANS-FORM by Guido Geelen can also be visited free of charge in the church during Nassaudag.

Route and parking
Coming by train? The Grote Kerk Breda is a 10-minute walk from Breda railway station. The church is also easily accessible by bus. You can walk to us in a few minutes from the Karnemelkstraat or Vlaszak bus stops.
Coming by bike or moped? Then park in one of the free bicycle parking facilities. Improperly parked bicycles are regularly removed by the municipality.
Coming by car? The car parks De Prins and De Barones are closest to the Grote Kerk Breda. Click here for general information on parking in Breda.
