Serenade: master and journeyman

A special concert in the beautiful Grote Kerk of Breda. Students play together with their teachers in a string orchestra, with a unique program:
Ottorino Respighi - Antiche danze ed arie, Suite no 3
Hendrik Andriessen - Variations and fugue on a theme by Johann Kuhnau
Wojciech Kilar - 'Orawa', symphonic poem for string orchestra
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - Serenade for string orchestra (op. 48)
Judith van Driel, concertmaster; Wiesje Miedema, leader of 2nd violins; Marc Tooten, leader of violas; Monique Heidema, principal cello; Ardashes Aghosian, double bass
Furthermore, their (former) students from the conservatories of Leuven, Tilburg and Amsterdam play in the orchestra
Route and parking
Coming by train? The Grote Kerk Breda is a 10-minute walk from Breda railway station. The church is also easily accessible by bus. You can walk to us in a few minutes from the Karnemelkstraat or Vlaszak bus stops.
Coming by bike or moped? Then park in one of the free bicycle parking facilities. Improperly parked bicycles are regularly removed by the municipality.
Coming by car? The car parks De Prins and De Barones are closest to the Grote Kerk Breda. Click here for general information on parking in Breda.
