Did you know that you can go on various treasure hunts in the Grote Kerk Breda? Would you like to look for birds and plants, or would you rather get spooked and giggle? Or would you prefer to go on a treasure hunt for animals and knights in the monument? They come in all shapes and sizes: there is even a knight with a helmet from which a tree grows. And yes, we also have a dodo in the church!
Will you come and find them all during one of our treasure hunts? You don't need to register in advance; the treasure hunts are available at the reception desk for €2.50.
Please note
The scavenger hunts are only available in Dutch. For children who enjoy a good challenge (10+), there is also an extensive puzzle quest. Parents can join the hunt, go on one of our free interactive tours or view our collection with the (free) audio tour.
- Children aged approximately 4–10 years old will shiver and giggle their way through the monument
- Children aged +/- 4 – 8 can search for all the knights and animals in the church
- Children aged 8 and over can look for birds and plants
- Children from 10 years of age won't be bored either: for them we have an extensive puzzle quest
Both the scavenger hunts and the puzzle quest are available at the reception desk for € 2.50 each.
A visit to the Grote Kerk Breda is free of charge, but of course a contribution is always greatly appreciated.
Note: The church is sometimes closed due to private events. Before visiting, always check the plan your visit page.
